Project Bloom-Girls 2 Women

30+ Years of
experience

A Purpose Close to My Heart.

This mission is personal to me.

Turning my journey into support for girls and women

I know what it feels like to need support and not have it.

For over 30 years, I attended college both full-time and part-time while raising four daughters as a single mother. During that time, I:

  •
  • Worked full-time

  • Attended classes at night

  • Managed my home and cared for my children

  • Overcame life’s many challenges

  •

Those experiences taught me:

  • Strength
  • Resilience
  • The value of guidance and encouragement
  • The importance of having someone who stands with you
Why I help girls and women:
  • I want to be the support I once needed
  • I believe no woman or girl should struggle alone
  • I am committed to offering guidance, encouragement, and hope
  • I stand beside girls and women during their time of need

Education Changes Everything

My Testimony

From a GED to a PhD

I left school at 16 with a fourth-grade reading level and no clear path forward. I married at a young age, believing adulthood would be easier than it was.

When I realized it wasn’t, I made a decision to change my life. I returned to school at night, earned my GED, and continued my education.

Over 25 years—while raising four children as a single mother—I earned six college degrees, one at a time. My journey is proof that faith, perseverance, and purpose can rewrite any story.

Today, giving back isn’t optional—it’s my calling. I stand in the gap for girls and women who need support, belief, and opportunity—just as I once did.
