30+ Years of
experience
This mission is personal to me.
I know what it feels like to need support and not have it.
For over 30 years, I attended college both full-time and part-time while raising four daughters as a single mother. During that time, I:
Worked full-time
Attended classes at night
Managed my home and cared for my children
Overcame life’s many challenges
Those experiences taught me:
From a GED to a PhD
I left school at 16 with a fourth-grade reading level and no clear path forward. I married at a young age, believing adulthood would be easier than it was.
When I realized it wasn’t, I made a decision to change my life. I returned to school at night, earned my GED, and continued my education.
Over 25 years—while raising four children as a single mother—I earned six college degrees, one at a time. My journey is proof that faith, perseverance, and purpose can rewrite any story.
Today, giving back isn’t optional—it’s my calling. I stand in the gap for girls and women who need support, belief, and opportunity—just as I once did.

Executive leader, Chief Learning Officer, and professor with 20+ years of experience empowering girls and women through strategic education and training.
